Going the Extra Mile Award 2016-2017

In conjunction with the Blue Valley School District, the Blue Valley Optimist Club 

will be recognizing two students from each of the twenty elementary schools in 

our GOING THE EXTRA MILE PROGRAM.   It is a chance to look for recognition outside

of academics and athletics and reward students for being good citizens and 

for providing “good Samaritan” acts that are often ignored or under appreciated. 

Students, parents and teachers/principals will join club members as outlined below

October 21: Blue River, Sunrise Point, Stanley, Prairie Star

November 11: Sunset Ridge, Liberty View, Cedar Hills, Lakewood

January 20: Leawood, Valley Park, Overland Trail, Mission Trail

March 24: Cottonwood Point, Heartland, Harmony, Oak Hill

May 5: Timber Creek, Stilwell, Morse, Indian Valley
